I strongly believe in living life simply and intentionally. Think, Marie Kondo and the Minimalist but without time consuming folding and white walls. Life is too short to spend worrying about what other people are thinking or doing, especially if it has anything to do with you. Small minds discuss people... And there is not certainly not enough time in the world to walk around bitter and angry.

I also believe wholeheartedly in the written word. Which in a lot more words means I enjoy reading and learning. I also enjoy writing; mostly for myself but I really do hope that others will find solace and familiarity in my words.

I have been blogging on and off for almost my entire life; probably near 20 years. And for a lot of those years I sensored myself and my writing. I was worried about what people I knew in my real life would think if they found my writing. With that being said, I am getting too damn old to give a what about people think. This is not my diary; don’t come here looking for my deep dark secrets. If you’re my co-worker, who will inevitably make fun of me… HEYYY.

This is my space: this is where I go to talk about what I’m reading, watching, listening to… what I’m learning. How I’m trying to better myself for myself. To clarify, think of a really long Facebook post that you might actually want to read. Which also means, if you’re trying to find something to piss you off, you probably will be.

“Why do women have to pretend to be something that they’re not? Why do we have to pretend to be stupid when we’re not stupid? Why do we have to pretend to be helpless when we’re not helpless? Why do we have to pretend to be sorry when we have nothing to be sorry about? Why do we have to pretend we’re not hungry when we’re hungry?”
