FRIDAY READS | May Seventh

It has been a minute since I have done a #fridayreads. I tried making a video on my IG story but it felt too uncomfortable. Can’t go wrong with a blog post!

The Wife Upstairs

This was a random cover pickup at the library and it looked familiar. Honestly, I had no idea what it was about. I’m hooked though!

A girl we only know as Jane, who really isn’t Jane, is running from her past. What she is running from I don’t know yet.

She is a dog walker in a prominent area where she meets Eddie. Who months earlier had just literally lost his wife – who went missing after a drunken night on a boat with a friend. Who of course is also missing.

As the story progresses we find out that Eddie’s wife is not really missing. Eddie himself is keeping her locked in their safe room in their attic. I need to find out why he is keeping his wife – who is very much alive – in his attic.

Broken (in the best possible way)

Jenny Lawson is one of my favorite authors of all time. I did not even know she had a new book coming out until I went to buy her first book for a friend of mine.

Her stories and anecdotes are so real and funny I think it would be hard not to like her books.

I am reading Broken on audiobook which is new for me with her. I typically read her books. The audiobook is going well. Definitely laughing out loud and nodding in agreeance with what she says in regards to anxiety and depression.

What are you reading this weekend?
