Jesus Christ. This is why celebrities (and I use the term loosely here) should not write books.
Now I don’t want to completely bash Ms Whitfield but this one left MUCH to be desired. Writing a book for the first time can be hard I imagine; putting yourself out there like that but…
When I heard Sheree (from Real Housewives of ATL) was writing a book I was so excited. I was expecting her book to be like an episode of Housewives but next level because my imagination could go wild.
That was simply not the case with this one.
This was Sheree’s story. And I figured that out from the beginning. And every other character in the story is someone from the show. If you watched the show from season 1 you will be able to pick out who is who from the beginning.
If you want to know what brought Sheree to Atlanta, then by all means pick this one up. I personally would not have pegged Sheree as an Ohioan but a quick google search of Sheree Whitfield shows that she is from Shaker Heights, Ohio. The only real difference in the story is that the main character’s love interest, Terrance, plays basketball instead of football which Sheree’s former husband, Bob, played. I won’t start on how the characters clothing line is She by Sasha. (eye roll)
From the show, you eventually see what an asshole Bob was to Sheree. And you are left wondering how did that even happen. You will definitely be able to see how that happened in the book, and also what a jerk (to put it nicely) Bob, I mean Terrance, was pretty much from “I do”.
Like I said, if you are looking to know more about just Sheree’s story I would definitely recommend this one. But if you’re looking for an episode of Real Housewives ATL that you haven’t seen… I would keep it moving. You let me down Sheree.
